Machine Operative

MK Industrial are recruiting for a Printing Operative working for a large packaging manufacturer based in LS9 with immediately start

The Role:

• Support the Flexographic Printers to achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the site
• Achieve machine Make Ready times to be optimised where possible
• Ensure all inputs for the next jobs are ready – Inks, plates, chambers, material availability etc
• Maintain good housekeeping on the press and surrounding areas
• Ensure the machine and equipment is maintained
• Support the Print operator
• Have basic experience and knowledge in computer systems
• Ensure all SOP’s are adhered too
• Assist in change overs including wash ups

About you:

• Previous machine work
• Attention to detail
• Excellent understanding of written & spoken English
• Must have safety footwear

Pay rate and hours:

• £10 per hour, paid weekly also lots of overtime
• 3 week rotating shifts that needs to do all.

(1st week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights 7pm-7am.

2nd week Monday, Tuesday nights and Thursday, Friday days 7am-7pm.

3rd week Wednesday, Thursday, Friday days 7am-7pm.)

• No weekends work

This is a non smoking site, you are not permitted to leave site during working hours due to Health & safety standards needing to be met & adhered too.
